Virgin Media O2

Data culture starts with people.

Connecting leadership intent with the confidence and participation of the people who use data.

Head of Data Culture

August 2024 → June 2025

[01] Context

The setting

At Virgin Media O2, I worked on the organisational side of data transformation. The role brought together data strategy, engagement and cultural change.

[02] Challenge

The question behind the work

Making data more accessible is only part of the task. People also need the confidence and understanding to use it in their day-to-day decisions. The work required engagement with both executives and the wider community of data users.

[03] Contribution

What I did

  • Developed and executed an engagement strategy around data democratisation.
  • Connected the leadership vision with practical participation across departments.
  • Supported data literacy and confidence in using data.
  • Established data governance capabilities and organisational practices to support consistent, evidence-based decisions.
  • Worked with cross-functional teams to integrate data strategies into everyday workflows, with a focus on business performance.

In practice

A workshop prototype for data-informed sales.

In March 2025 I wrote about an Agentforce workshop I attended on behalf of Virgin Media O2. Our team worked on a prototype that brought customer context into sales preparation.

The concept combined lead enrichment, information from customer interactions and automated pitch-deck generation. My contribution was within the workshop team, working with a solutions engineer.

The output was a workshop solution demonstrating the approach. My article described potential benefits; it did not report a production rollout or measured business results.
